What Is Kambaba?
Jasper is an opaque and fine grained variety of Chalcedony quartz. The Greek origin, iaspis, means "spotted stone." It's patterns are much less regular than those of the other chalcedony variety, such as agate. The distinction stems from the stones' composition. Jasper derives its colorful patterns from other minerals present, and is often named according to its pattern. It is found all over the world in all colors including: red, brown, pink, yellow, green, grey/white and shades of blue and purple and is often spotted (Dalmatian), striped (banded jasper), and/or multi colored.
