Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare the Wire
- Cut your stainless steel wire in half.
- Straighten the ends for easier weaving.
- Cut a separate 2-inch piece of wire to use for the antennae later.
2. Weave the Body
- Row 1: Thread one jet bicone, then two yellow bicones. Take the opposite wire back through the two yellow bicones and pull tight to center it.
- Row 2: Thread three jet bicones. Take the opposite wire back through them and pull tight.
- Row 3: Thread two yellow bicones. Take the opposite wire back through them, curving the body slightly as you pull tight.
3. Create the Wings
- Thread four clear shimmer bicones onto one wire.
- Slide three bicones up and take the wire back through the fourth one, maneuvering it into place to form a wing.
- Repeat on the other side for the second wing.
4. Add the Head and Finish
- Thread one jet round for the head and take the opposite wire back through it to secure.
- Center your 2-inch piece of wire in the hole of your jet round.
- Twist the wires twice to secure the head.
- Use the 2-inch wire to create antennae by twisting it and curling the ends with round-nose pliers.
- With your 2 longer wires, continue twisting up (use the photo for reference).
- Create a loop at the top with the remaining wire to attach the earring finding.
Tips for Best Results
- Pull the wire tight after each row to keep the body neat and compact.
- Curve the body slightly in Row 3 so it has a natural bee shape.
- Work slowly when forming the wings – the shimmer bicones can slide around.
- Practice making small loops with the wire before attaching the earring hooks.
